Organic Baby Clothing WYTHEVILLE

Back before I had my children, I never believed I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mother, talking to other parents about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to talk about the newest baby clothes we have bought.

I more often than not meet with 2 other parents, once a fortnight, to find out the latest gossip. We often meet at Hardees of Wytheville (which is in WYTHEVILLE, VA) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was really eye opening as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby girl organic food from day one but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular products in the world and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and particularly water bodies. Organic products are made without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Buying organic clothes means you are buying products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or less use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and waterways, reduced diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find stores completely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to adolescents. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
