Organic Baby Clothing WILMINGTON

Back before I had my children, I never believed I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am a new mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the newest baby outfits we have purchased.

I generally go out with 4 other mothers, once a week, to hear about the latest new. We usually meet at Charcoal Pit (which is in WILMINGTON, DE) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was more interesting because we chatted about baby clothes. I have been providing my baby organic food from day one but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular products in America and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged the environment and particularly water bodies. Organic cotton is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can get soft organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of shops. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic clothing means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, less cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find stores entirely committed to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to adolescents. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
