Organic Baby Clothing WETHERSFIELD

Long before I had my children, I never imagined I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mum, talking to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the latest baby outfits we have bought.

I generally meet with 4 other women, once a month, to find out the latest happenings. We often meet at Standish House Restaurant (which is in WETHERSFIELD, CT) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was particularly interesting as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby girl organic meals from day one but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in America and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has destroyed ecosystems and especially water ways. Organic produce is made without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.

You can purchase soft organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic produce means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, fewer health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find wholesalers completely devoted to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to older children. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I am not saying that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
