Organic Baby Clothing WEST HOLLYWOOD

Long before I had my first child, I never believed I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mum, being able to talk to other mothers about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to talk about the latest baby clothes we have purchased.
I more often than not get together with 2 other mothers, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest new. We usually meet at Café Med (which is in WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was particularly interesting seeing we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby boy organic produce from the beginning but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in the US and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and in particular water supplies. Organic produce is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Buying organic clothing means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or reduced use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and lakes, fewer diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Many producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find stores solely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I do not think that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
