Organic Baby Clothing WELLESLEY

Back before I had my children, I had not thought I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to discuss the newest baby clothes we have bought.

I usually meet with 2 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest new. We usually meet at TIAN Fu (which is in WELLESLEY, MA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was particularly exciting as we chatted about baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic produce from the start but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the world and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged habitats and especially water supplies. Organic cotton is grown without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Buying organic produce means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, fewer cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Several producers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find wholesalers solely devoted to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to older children. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I do not think that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
