Before I had my baby, I never really imagined I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a new mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the most recent baby clothes we have picked up.

I generally meet with 2 other mothers, once a week, to hear about the latest gossip. We usually meet at Broadway Cafe (which is in WAMSUTTER, WY) as that is quite central for all of us. Cotton is one of the most popular products in America and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has ruined the environment and especially water supplies. Organic cotton is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Buying organic products means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or less use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and waterways, less cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

A number of retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find companies solely committed to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to teenagers. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
