Organic Baby Clothing WALLINGFORD

Back before I had my baby, I never imagined I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a new mother, talking to other mothers about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to talk about the most recent baby outfits we have bought.

I more often than not get together with 3 other women, once a week, to find out the latest gossip. We usually meet at II Monticello Restaurant & Banquet (which is in WALLINGFORD, CT) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was particularly eye opening as we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby organic produce from the beginning but I had not considered buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular products in America and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has damaged habitats and particularly water supplies. Organic products are grown without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.

You can get organic cotton baby apparel online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic clothes means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, fewer cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find shops completely committed to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to older children. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I do not think that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
