Organic Baby Clothing VANCOUVER

Back before I had my first child, I had not thought I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a new mother, talking to other mothers about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the most recent baby clothes we have picked up.

I more often than not get together with 3 other mothers, once a week, to find out the latest happenings. We generally meet at K F C Orchards (which is in VANCOUVER, WA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was particularly exciting because we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby girl organic meals from the beginning but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in America and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and especially water bodies. Organic products are grown without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic products means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or less use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, fewer diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find designers entirely devoted to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to adolescents. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
