Organic Baby Clothing UNA

Before I had my first child, I never really imagined I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mum, being able to talk to other parents about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to chat about the newest baby outfits we have purchased.

I usually get together with 2 other parents, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest new. We often meet at Five Forks Grill (which is in UNA, SC) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was more exciting seeing we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby organic food from day one but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular products in the US and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and in particular water supplies. Organic produce is made without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

You can purchase organic cotton baby apparel online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Purchasing organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or less use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and lakes, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.

A number of retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find companies completely committed to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to teenagers. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I do not think that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
