Organic Baby Clothing SHARON

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 01-09-2008

Long before I had my baby, I had not believed I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a new mother, chatting to other women about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the newest baby fashions we have picked up.

I generally go out with 3 other women, once a week, to catch up on the latest gossip. We usually meet at Pizza Joe's (which is in SHARON, PA) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was more interesting as we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic food from day one but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the US and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and especially water ways. Organic produce is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

You can buy beautiful organic baby clothes online from a number of retailers. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Buying organic clothing means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and lakes, reduced diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Many producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find retailers completely committed to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to older children. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
