Organic Baby Clothing SAINT PAUL

Back before I had my baby, I never thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I have become a new mother, talking to other parents about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to discuss the newest baby outfits we have purchased.

I generally go out with 3 other mothers, once a month, to hear about the latest happenings. We often meet at Shamrock Restaurant & Lounge (which is in SAINT PAUL, OR) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was particularly interesting because we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby boy organic meals from the start but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular products in America and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has damaged the environment and especially water supplies. Organic produce is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

You can buy soft organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Buying organic clothes means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or less use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and waterways, reduced diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

A number of retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find wholesalers solely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to teenagers. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
