Organic Baby Clothing SAINT LOUIS

Back before I had my children, I had not believed I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mum, being able to talk to other women about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to talk about the latest baby outfits we have picked up.

I generally meet with 2 other mothers, once a fortnight, to catch up on the latest gossip. We often meet at Sunset 44 Restaurant (which is in SAINT LOUIS, MO) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was particularly exciting because we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby girl organic meals from the beginning but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular crops in America and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and particularly water ways. Organic cotton is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic clothes means you are buying produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, reduced diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Several wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find shops completely committed to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
