Organic Baby Clothing SAINT JAMES
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 29-03-2009
Long before I had my baby, I had not thought I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mum, chatting to other women about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to discuss the newest baby outfits we have purchased.
I generally get together with 2 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest new. We often meet at China Restaurant (which is in SAINT JAMES, MN) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was more interesting seeing we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic food from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the world and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has damaged the environment and in particular water ways. Organic products are produced without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.
You can buy organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Getting organic clothing means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and lakes, less diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.
Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find designers entirely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.
I do not think that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
