Organic Baby Clothing ROYAL OAK

Long before I had my first child, I had not thought I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to chat about the newest baby outfits we have purchased.

I generally get together with 4 other parents, once a month, to find out the latest new. We often meet at Jimmy Johns Gourmet Sandwich Shop (which is in ROYAL OAK, MI) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was more exciting seeing we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby girl organic meals from day one but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in America and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged the environment and in particular water supplies. Organic produce is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic products means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and rivers, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.

A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find wholesalers completely committed to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
