Organic Baby Clothing ROANOKE

Before I had my first child, I never imagined I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am a new mother, being able to talk to other women about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to talk about the latest baby clothes we have purchased.

I more often than not go out with 3 other women, once a fortnight, to find out the latest new. We often meet at Dave's Restaurant (which is in ROANOKE, VA) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was particularly interesting seeing we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic meals from the beginning but I had not considered buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the US and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged habitats and particularly water supplies. Organic cotton is grown without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.

You can buy organic cotton baby clothing online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic products means you are buying products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, less diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

A number of producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find retailers solely devoted to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to older children. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I do not think that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
