Organic Baby Clothing RAYMOND

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 31-08-2010

Long before I had my baby, I never imagined I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a new mother, chatting to other parents about what is going on in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to talk about the latest baby fashions we have bought.

I usually meet with 2 other parents, once a month, to catch up on the latest gossip. We usually meet at Willapa Willys Chili (which is in RAYMOND, WA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was really eye opening because we chatted about baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic food from the start but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the world and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has ruined habitats and in particular water bodies. Organic cotton is made without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.

You can get beautiful organic baby apparel online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic clothes means you are purchasing products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, less health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Several retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find shops entirely devoted to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to older children. Of course, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
