Before I had my first child, I never thought I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a new mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. No or less use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
