Organic Baby Clothing PORTSMOUTH

Long before I had my children, I never imagined I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mum, being able to talk to other mothers about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to discuss the latest baby fashions we have purchased.

I generally go out with 3 other women, once a month, to find out the latest new. We often meet at New Golden Panda Restaurant (which is in PORTSMOUTH, OH) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was really exciting as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby boy organic meals from day one but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the world and one of the most harmful to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from these farms has damaged ecosystems and in particular water ways. Organic cotton is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can get organic baby outfits online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic clothing means you are purchasing products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, less cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find designers completely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I do not think that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
