Organic Baby Clothing PLAINVILLE

Long before I had my children, I never really believed I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a mum, talking to other women about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to talk about the newest baby fashions we have bought.
I more often than not go out with 3 other women, once a month, to catch up on the latest happenings. We generally meet at Yen Ching Chinese Restaurant (which is in PLAINVILLE, MA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was more exciting as we talked about baby clothes. I have been giving my baby boy organic food from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in America and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from these farms has destroyed the environment and particularly water supplies. Organic cotton is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.
Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Getting organic clothing means you are purchasing products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, less health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.
A number of makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find retailers entirely committed to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to older children. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I would not go as far to say that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
