Organic Baby Clothing PITTSBURG

Before I had my baby, I never thought I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mum, being able to talk to other women about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to discuss the most recent baby clothes we have purchased.

I more often than not meet with 3 other parents, once a week, to hear about the latest new. We usually meet at El Charro (which is in PITTSBURG, KS) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really exciting seeing we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby girl organic meals from the start but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in America and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged the environment and especially water ways. Organic cotton is produced without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic clothes means you are purchasing products which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, reduced health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

A number of makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find retailers solely committed to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to older children. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
