Organic Baby Clothing PHILADELPHIA

Before I had my first child, I never imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a mother, chatting to other women about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to talk about the latest baby clothes we have purchased.

I generally get together with 3 other women, once a month, to hear about the latest new. We generally meet at Mile Deli (which is in PHILADELPHIA, PA) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was particularly interesting because we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby organic meals from the beginning but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in America and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has ruined the environment and especially water bodies. Organic produce is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control methods.

You can get soft organic cotton baby clothing online from a number of retailers. Sckoon is my favourite for organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic clothing means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or less use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, less cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find shops completely committed to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to teenagers. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
