Organic Baby Clothing PAWTUCKET

Back before I had my children, I never thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am a mum, talking to other women about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the most recent baby clothes we have bought.

I generally meet with 2 other women, once a month, to hear about the latest happenings. We usually meet at Super Dragon (which is in PAWTUCKET, RI) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was really eye opening as we discussed baby clothes. I have been giving my baby organic food from the beginning but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular products in America and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined habitats and especially water bodies. Organic products are made without the use of artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic products means you are getting produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, fewer health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

A number of makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find companies solely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to teenagers. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
