Organic Baby Clothing PALATINE

Long before I had my first child, I never thought I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the most recent baby fashions we have purchased.

I generally go out with 3 other parents, once a month, to hear about the latest happenings. We generally meet at Norma's Coffee Corner (which is in PALATINE, IL) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really eye opening because we talked about organic baby clothes. I have been giving my baby girl organic produce from the beginning but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in America and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has ruined ecosystems and especially water ways. Organic cotton is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can buy organic cotton baby clothing online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic produce means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, fewer health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few wholesalers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find stores solely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I do not think that I am only going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
