Organic Baby Clothing OKTAHA

Back before I had my children, I never really imagined I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am a mum, being able to talk to other mothers about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to discuss the latest baby outfits we have purchased.
I generally get together with 3 other women, once a fortnight, to find out the latest happenings. We generally meet at Rock's Blues Food (which is in OKTAHA, OK) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was really interesting as we discussed baby clothes. I have been providing my baby girl organic produce from the beginning but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the world and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined the environment and especially water supplies. Organic products are grown without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.
Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Buying organic products means you are getting products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or reduced use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, fewer cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find wholesalers solely devoted to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I am not saying that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
