Organic Baby Clothing NEW YORK

Before I had my baby, I never believed I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mum, talking to other parents about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the latest baby outfits we have bought.
I generally go out with 3 other mothers, once a fortnight, to find out the latest new. We often meet at Broadway Diner (which is in NEW YORK, NY) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was particularly exciting because we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby organic produce from day one but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the world and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed the environment and particularly water supplies. Organic produce is produced without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.
Benefits of Choosing Organic Products
Purchasing organic produce means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, reduced health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
A number of producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find stores solely committed to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I am not saying that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
