Organic Baby Clothing NEW ORLEANS

Back before I had my first child, I never thought I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mum, talking to other women about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to chat about the latest baby outfits we have purchased.
I usually get together with 4 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We often meet at Texas Bar-B-Que CO (which is in NEW ORLEANS, LA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was particularly interesting seeing we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby boy organic food from the start but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in America and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed habitats and in particular water bodies. Organic products are produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Buying organic clothes means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, less cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.
Several makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find shops entirely devoted to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to adolescents. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I do not think that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
