Organic Baby Clothing MORRISVILLE

Back before I had my baby, I had not thought I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a new mother, being able to talk to other women about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the latest baby outfits we have picked up.

I generally meet with 3 other women, once a week, to hear about the latest gossip. We generally meet at New Fu Wah Inn (which is in MORRISVILLE, PA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was more exciting seeing we chatted about baby clothes. I have been providing my baby girl organic produce from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in America and one of the most devastating to the habitat and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and particularly water bodies. Organic cotton is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

You can buy organic cotton baby clothing online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic clothing means you are purchasing products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, less diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

Quite a few producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find shops solely devoted to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
