Organic Baby Clothing MONTVALE

Back before I had my baby, I never really thought I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mum, talking to other mothers about what is going on in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to talk about the most recent baby fashions we have purchased.

I generally get together with 3 other parents, once a week, to hear about the latest happenings. We usually meet at SHI Fang Chinese Restaurant (which is in MONTVALE, NJ) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last time was more eye opening because we discussed baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby organic meals from the beginning but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in the US and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged habitats and in particular water supplies. Organic cotton is produced without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic products means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, less cancers for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Several makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find designers solely dedicated to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from infants to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever I can.
