Long before I had my first child, I never believed I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mother, being able to talk to other women about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. Purchasing organic clothing means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or less use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, less cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find wholesalers entirely devoted to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am definitely going try to whenever it is available.
