Long before I had my first child, I had not thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mother, talking to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. No or less use of insecticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, fewer cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.
