Organic Baby Clothing MIAMI

Long before I had my first child, I never really thought I would join a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mother, talking to other parents about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we love to chat about the most recent baby clothes we have picked up.

I generally go out with 4 other mothers, once a month, to find out the latest gossip. We generally meet at LA Bolichera Seafood Restaurant (which is in MIAMI, FL) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was more interesting because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby girl organic meals from day one but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the US and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has damaged ecosystems and particularly water supplies. Organic produce is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control techniques.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Buying organic products means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less contamination of our habitat. No or less use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, less cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

Quite a few producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find designers completely committed to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I do not think that I am just going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
