Organic Baby Clothing MC FARLAND

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 27-05-2008

Before I had my baby, I never really thought I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mother, talking to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to discuss the most recent baby outfits we have bought.

I more often than not go out with 4 other women, once a month, to find out the latest happenings. We usually meet at Oasis Bar & Grill (which is in MC FARLAND, KS) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really eye opening because we chatted about organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby girl organic meals from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in America and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has ruined habitats and in particular water bodies. Organic cotton is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic products means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, fewer diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

A number of makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find designers completely committed to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from infants to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I do not think that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am absolutely going try to whenever I can.
