Organic Baby Clothing MAYS LANDING

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 28-02-2010

Long before I had my baby, I never thought I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to chat about the newest baby clothes we have bought.

I usually get together with 3 other parents, once a fortnight, to find out the latest happenings. We usually meet at Festival at Hamilton Shopping Center - Nino's Pizz (which is in MAYS LANDING, NJ) as that is quite central for all of us. Last week was really interesting seeing we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby boy organic meals from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in America and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed ecosystems and particularly water supplies. Organic products are made without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

You can get soft organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic clothes means you are buying products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or reduced use of pesticides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, fewer diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.

A number of retailers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find stores entirely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from babies to teenagers. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
