Before I had my first child, I never thought I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is happening in my life has really helped me. Purchasing organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to soils and waterways. No or reduced use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, reduced cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with toxic chemicals.
