Long before I had my children, I never believed I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a new mother, chatting to other women about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to talk about the newest baby fashions we have purchased.

Getting organic produce means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and waterways, reduced diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to adolescents. Naturally, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I would not go as far to say that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
