Organic Baby Clothing LINCOLN

Back before I had my baby, I never imagined I would join a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mother, chatting to other parents about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the newest baby clothes we have purchased.
I usually get together with 4 other parents, once a month, to hear about the latest happenings. We usually meet at Cooks Cafe (which is in LINCOLN, NE) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last month was more exciting seeing we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby organic produce from day one but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the US and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from these farms has damaged habitats and particularly water ways. Organic cotton is grown without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.
You can get organic cotton baby clothing online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Buying organic clothes means you are purchasing products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and rivers, reduced diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with toxic chemicals.
A number of producers of baby clothes also make a range of organic items or you can find designers solely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I would not go as far to say that I am only going to buy organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
