Organic Baby Clothing LEXINGTON

Before I had my first child, I never imagined I would belong to a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mum, being able to talk to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we like to discuss the most recent baby outfits we have picked up.

I usually go out with 4 other women, once a month, to catch up on the latest gossip. We often meet at Wimpys Place (which is in LEXINGTON, MI) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was particularly exciting as we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby girl organic food from the beginning but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the world and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from cotton farms has destroyed the environment and particularly water supplies. Organic products are produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Purchasing organic clothing means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or less use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, reduced diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Quite a few producers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothing or you can find retailers solely devoted to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to adolescents. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am absolutely going try to whenever I can.
