Organic Baby Clothing LEECHBURG

Long before I had my first child, I never really believed I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I have become a new mother, chatting to other women about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to talk about the newest baby fashions we have picked up.

I usually get together with 4 other mothers, once a month, to hear about the latest happenings. We generally meet at Z-1 Restaurant (which is in LEECHBURG, PA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was particularly exciting as we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been giving my baby girl organic produce from day one but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the world and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined ecosystems and in particular water ways. Organic cotton is produced without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

You can buy beautiful organic baby apparel online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing

Getting organic produce means you are getting produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, less health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several makers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic clothes or you can find designers entirely committed to organic baby clothes. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from infants to older children. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to buy organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am absolutely going try to whenever I can.
