Organic Baby Clothing LAKE CHARLES
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 13-06-2009
Before I had my baby, I never thought I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am a new mother, being able to talk to other parents about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to chat about the most recent baby clothes we have purchased.
I generally go out with 3 other parents, once a week, to catch up on the latest happenings. We often meet at Honeybaked Ham Company & Cafe (which is in LAKE CHARLES, LA) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was particularly exciting as we talked about organic baby clothing. I have been feeding my baby organic meals from the beginning but I had never thought about buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the world and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has destroyed the environment and in particular water ways. Organic produce is produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Alternatively, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.
You can buy organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing
Buying organic produce means you are buying produce which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our land and waterways, fewer health problems for farmers, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.
Quite a few retailers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find designers completely committed to organic baby clothes. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to adolescents. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I would not go as far to say that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am absolutely going try to whenever it is available.
