Organic Baby Clothing LADD

Long before I had my children, I never really thought I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I am finally a mum, chatting to other women about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to talk about the latest baby outfits we have picked up.
I generally get together with 2 other women, once a week, to hear about the latest gossip. We generally meet at Cancun Restaurante & Bar (which is in LADD, IL) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really eye opening seeing we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby boy organic produce from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular products in the world and one of the most harmful to the habitat and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged habitats and in particular water supplies. Organic products are made without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.
Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Buying organic products means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or reduced use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, reduced cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also sell a range of organic items or you can find stores completely committed to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Naturally, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I am not saying that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
