Organic Baby Clothing KNOXVILLE
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 02-03-2010
Before I had my children, I never really believed I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I am a mum, being able to talk to other women about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to discuss the newest baby clothes we have purchased.
I more often than not get together with 2 other mothers, once a month, to catch up on the latest gossip. We usually meet at NASCAR Cafe (which is in KNOXVILLE, TN) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last week was more eye opening because we discussed baby clothes. I have been providing my baby organic produce from the start but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular products in America and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged habitats and particularly water ways. Organic produce is grown without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.
You can purchase beautiful organic baby clothing online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Purchasing organic produce means you are getting products which have been produced in an environmentally friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or less use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, fewer cancers for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by lessening their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find designers completely committed to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from toddlers to teenagers. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I would not go as far to say that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
