Organic Baby Clothing KANSASVILLE

Back before I had my baby, I had not thought I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, being able to talk to other women about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We discuss how we raise our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we love to discuss the most recent baby outfits we have bought.

I more often than not meet with 3 other mothers, once a week, to find out the latest happenings. We generally meet at Auctioneers Inn (which is in KANSASVILLE, WI) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was really interesting as we discussed organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby boy organic food from the start but I had not considered buying organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown plants in the US and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined habitats and in particular water bodies. Organic produce is produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.

You can get organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Purchasing organic clothes means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or less use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and waterways, reduced health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Quite a few makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothing or you can find wholesalers completely committed to organic baby fashion. Anyway, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic fashion for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am absolutely going try to whenever I can.
