Organic Baby Clothing JAMESTOWN

Back before I had my children, I never believed I would belong to a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a new mother, chatting to other parents about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to chat about the latest baby fashions we have picked up.

I more often than not meet with 3 other parents, once a month, to hear about the latest gossip. We often meet at Embers Restaurant (which is in JAMESTOWN, ND) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was particularly interesting because we discussed baby clothes. I have been providing my baby girl organic food from day one but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most popular plants in the US and one of the most devastating to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and particularly water supplies. Organic cotton is grown without the use of artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Alternatively, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control methods.

You can get beautiful organic baby clothing online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic clothes means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, less health problems for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

Several retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find stores solely committed to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is an amazing alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am definitely going try to whenever possible.
