Organic Baby Clothing HUNTINGTON

Long before I had my children, I never really thought I would be part of a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a new mother, chatting to other women about what is happening in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to talk about the most recent baby outfits we have purchased.

I more often than not meet with 3 other mothers, once a week, to catch up on the latest new. We often meet at East of Chicago Pizza (which is in HUNTINGTON, IN) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last month was really eye opening seeing we talked about baby clothes. I have been giving my baby boy organic produce from the beginning but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most widely grown crops in the US and one of the most harmful to the environment and to farm workers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged habitats and in particular water supplies. Organic produce is grown without the need for artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control techniques.

You can buy beautiful organic baby outfits online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothes.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic produce means you are purchasing produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of the environment. No or reduced use of herbicides and fertilizers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, reduced diseases for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.

Several makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic items or you can find shops completely dedicated to organic baby fashion. Either way, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to older children. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I am not saying that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am without a doubt going try to whenever it is available.
