Organic Baby Clothing HOUSTON

Before I had my first child, I never really imagined I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a new mother, being able to talk to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we like to chat about the newest baby outfits we have bought.
I more often than not meet with 3 other parents, once a month, to catch up on the latest gossip. We often meet at Redwood Grill (which is in HOUSTON, TX) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really eye opening as we discussed organic baby clothes. I have been providing my baby boy organic produce from the start but I had never thought about getting organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most widely grown products in the US and one of the most ruinous to the habitat and to farmers. The run off from these farms has destroyed habitats and particularly water supplies. Organic products are produced without the need for artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Rather, organic farming depends upon things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.
Benefits of Organic Clothing
Getting organic produce means you are buying clothes which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less contamination of the environment. No or reduced use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and lakes, fewer cancers for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Many retailers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find shops solely devoted to organic baby clothing. Anyway, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Obviously, organic clothing for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I would not go as far to say that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am absolutely going try to whenever possible.
