Organic Baby Clothing HARRINGTON

Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 14-04-2008

Long before I had my baby, I had not believed I would join a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am a mum, being able to talk to other women about what is happening in my life has really helped me. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we enjoy being able to discuss the latest baby fashions we have purchased.

I more often than not go out with 4 other parents, once a week, to hear about the latest new. We generally meet at Mcdonald's of Harrington (which is in HARRINGTON, DE) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was particularly exciting seeing we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby girl organic produce from the beginning but I had not considered purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in the world and one of the most ruinous to the environment and to farm employees. The run off from these farms has damaged the environment and in particular water ways. Organic produce is made without using artificial fertilisers and insecticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic pest control techniques.

Benefits of Choosing Organic Products

Getting organic products means you are buying produce which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at least in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and lakes, fewer health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by lessening their contact with toxic chemicals.

A number of makers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find wholesalers entirely committed to organic baby fashion. Thankfully, there are a lot of designs to choose from and all ages are catered for, from toddlers to older children. Naturally, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.

I do not think that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is a good alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my child but I am most definitely going try to whenever I can.
