Organic Baby Clothing GULFPORT

Before I had my children, I never really believed I would be part of a mothers group. However, now that I am finally a mum, talking to other women about what is taking place in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we deal with our children, what to do and not to do, we share recipes, and we enjoy being able to chat about the most recent baby fashions we have bought.

I more often than not go out with 2 other mothers, once a month, to catch up on the latest new. We generally meet at Holiday Inn Gulfport-I-10 & Us 49-Arpt, (which is in GULFPORT, MS) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was particularly interesting seeing we talked about baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby organic meals from the beginning but I had never thought about purchasing organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown products in the US and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has destroyed habitats and in particular water supplies. Organic products are made without using artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Rather, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, improving soils naturally, and using organic pest control practices.

You can buy organic cotton baby outfits online from a number of stores. Sckoon has some of the cutest organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Purchasing organic clothes means you are getting clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of soils and waterways. No or a reduction in the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our land and rivers, reduced diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our children by lessening their contact with dangerous chemicals.

A number of wholesalers of baby clothes also make a range of organic clothes or you can find designers solely devoted to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are catered for, from babies to teenagers. Of course, organic clothing for men and women is also available and I am looking into that for myself and my man.

I am not saying that I am only going to get organic cotton or bamboo clothing (which is an excellent alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am definitely going try to whenever I can.
