Organic Baby Clothing GREENVILLE
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 29-06-2009
Before I had my first child, I never imagined I would join a mothers group. Anyhow, now that I have become a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is happening in my life has benefited me immensely. We chat about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share baby food recipes, and we like to talk about the most recent baby outfits we have bought.
I more often than not go out with 4 other parents, once a week, to hear about the latest gossip. We generally meet at Colony Restaurant (which is in GREENVILLE, OH) as that is pretty central for all of us. Last time was really exciting because we talked about baby clothes. I have been providing my baby organic food from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to buying organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most broadly grown crops in the world and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from non-organic cotton farms has damaged ecosystems and particularly water ways. Organic products are produced without the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, enhancing soils naturally, and using organic insect control practices.
You can buy organic cotton baby clothes online from a number of shops. Sckoon has some gorgeous organic baby apparel.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Buying organic clothing means you are getting products which have been produced in an eco friendly manner, or at a minimum in a way which causes less pollution of our habitat. No or reduced use of insecticides and synthetic fertilisers means less pollution of our soils and rivers, fewer diseases for farm workers, and fewer health risks for our babies and children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.
Quite a few makers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find companies completely committed to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to adolescents. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also obtainable and I am looking into that for myself and my man.
I do not think that I am only ever going to purchase organic cotton or bamboo clothes (which is a fantastic alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever it is available.
