Organic Baby Clothing GREENSBORO
Filed Under (Organic Baby Clothes) by Kaye on 25-08-2008
Back before I had my children, I never really thought I would belong to a mothers group. However, now that I have become a mum, chatting to other mothers about what is taking place in my life has been a huge help. We discuss how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we enjoy being able to talk about the latest baby clothes we have picked up.
I more often than not get together with 4 other mothers, once a week, to find out the latest happenings. We usually meet at Mrs Winner's Chicken & Biscuits (which is in GREENSBORO, NC) as that is fairly central for all of us. Last week was more interesting because we chatted about organic baby clothing. I have been providing my baby organic meals from the beginning but it had never crossed my mind to purchasing organic clothing for her.
Cotton is one of the most popular crops in America and one of the most ruinous to the ecosystem and to farm workers. The run off from cotton farms has ruined habitats and in particular water supplies. Organic cotton is grown without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming relies on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using eco friendly pest control practices.
You can get beautiful organic baby clothing online from a number of retailers. Sckoon has some beautiful organic baby clothing.

Benefits of Organic Baby Clothing
Purchasing organic clothes means you are getting produce which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to our habitat. No or less use of herbicides and fertilisers means less pollution of our land and lakes, fewer diseases for farmers, and fewer health risks for our children by moderating their contact with dangerous chemicals.
A number of producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothes or you can find wholesalers solely devoted to organic baby clothes. Thankfully, there are a lot of brands to choose from and all ages are taken care of, from toddlers to teenagers. Obviously, organic clothes for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my partner.
I am not saying that I am only ever going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my children but I am most definitely going try to whenever possible.
