Organic Baby Clothing GRAFTON

Back before I had my baby, I never imagined I would be part of a mothers group. Be that as it may, now that I am finally a mum, being able to talk to other women about what is going on in my life has been a huge help. We talk about how we bring up our children, what to do and not to do, we share meal plans, and we love to talk about the most recent baby outfits we have purchased.

I generally meet with 2 other parents, once a fortnight, to find out the latest happenings. We often meet at Wally's Supermarket (which is in GRAFTON, ND) as that is quite central for all of us. Last month was more exciting because we discussed baby clothes. I have been feeding my baby boy organic meals from day one but I had not considered getting organic clothing for her.

Cotton is one of the most broadly grown plants in the world and one of the most devastating to the ecosystem and to farmers. The run off from these farms has damaged habitats and in particular water ways. Organic products are made without using artificial fertilisers and chemicals. Instead, organic farming depends on things like crop rotation, raising the quality of soils naturally, and using organic insect control methods.

Benefits of Organic Clothing

Getting organic clothes means you are purchasing clothes which have been produced in an eco-friendly manner, or at the very least in a way which causes less damage to the environment. No or less use of insecticides and fertilisers means less pollution of our farms and waterways, less health problems for farm employees, and fewer health risks for children by reducing their contact with potentially dangerous chemicals.

A number of producers of baby clothes also produce a range of organic clothing or you can find stores solely dedicated to organic baby clothing. Either way, there are a lot of marks to choose from and all ages are provided for, from babies to adolescents. Of course, organic fashion for men and women is also accessible and I am looking into that for myself and my husband.

I would not go as far to say that I am just going to get organic cotton or bamboo cotton clothing (which is a great alternative to regular or organic cotton) for my baby but I am without a doubt going try to whenever possible.
